Are You Archiving Emails To Your List?

I was working on one of my favorite passive income strategies this morning … adding more autoresponder emails to my lists. I like to use a combination of free content and offers to paid products and in the process did a search for one of the key terms for one of my niche sites. In the process I found an old archived Aweber email one of my affiliates had written back in 2011. It ranks for one pretty good keyword, gets traffic and make her affiliate commissions. All without any extra work on her part. Here’s a screenshot of the page:

There are a few advantages of archiving your Aweber broadcast emails. The first is that it’s searchable content and if you pick a keyword-rich subject line like my friend Christine did here, there’s a good chance you’ll see some traffic to those pages.

Now look at the bottom left-hand part of that image. Do you see the signup box. As people stumble across this page, they get a chance to sign up for Christine’s list which is of course a good thing.

So how do you do this? It’s super simple. When you compose a new broadcast message to your list, just make sure the Social Media / Sharing option is checked. Here’s what that looks like:

Another option would be to create your own email archive by posting your emails to your blog or creating html pages with the content for your site. Since I’m pretty lazy, I prefer the one click option Aweber gives me :)

There are really two important lessons I want you to take away from this.

1) Work on Your Autoresponder Emails

It’s one of the quickest and easiest ways to increase your passive income. If you have any lists at all, set aside some time this week to write and schedule a few new a/r messages.

If you don’t have a list yet, get to work on that right away!

2) Archive Your Broadcast Emails

Make sure that little button in your email broadcast settings is checked so you automatically archive any email you send out. Use keyword-rich text as you write both your subject line and the email itself.  Just make sure you also keep your readers in mind. Use the example above as a guide on how to accomplish both at the same time.
